Variety Sunshine Coaches  Variety Sunshine Coaches transport thousands of New Zealand children to schooling, therapy and community outings. To date Variety has provided 100 Ford vans throughout the country to special schools and organisations working with children. Many vans are adapted for special service with hydraulic lifts, wheelchair hoists and other specialised equipment.
As the demand for Sunshine Coaches always exceeds the funding available, Variety aims to fund 50% of the cost of five Sunshine Coaches each year, with the organizations contributing the remaining 50%.
The 100th Variety Sunshine Coach was presented to Kutarere School from the Bay of Plenty . The children were on a school trip to Auckland so it was presented to them at the Museum. The children showed their appreciation by singing songs and performing a haka!
