In October, after a long wait, the world was privileged to again see the All Blacks crowned Rugby World Champions. During the World Cup a wonderful worldwide initiative was launched by LeasePlan Corporation to raise money for Variety to support the families most affected by the Christchurch earthquakes over the past 18 months.

Love Of Books Benefits Children

Volunteer Mary McCutcheon-Walker has been involved with the Variety Book Fair Committee for 23 years and is a self-confessed book fanatic. “When I was younger, if I didn’t get a book for Christmas, then oh dear, there was trouble! It had to be a book, not any other toy,” says Mary. “I’m hooked on books!”
