Variety Caring for Kids

Variety helps improve child health outcomes for disadvantaged Kiwi kids. To reach their full potential these children need assistance to meet their basic needs, and many also need access to specialist healthcare services.

Variety works closely with social services agencies, schools and healthcare practitioners to intentify suitable children in need. Children with special medical needs, including those requiring assistance with prevention, ongoing treatment, or simply with easing the challenges of living with ongoing disabilities may be eligable for special fundraising appeal campaigns.

Variety also provides insulin pumps which free diabetic children from daily insulin injections, brainstem response machines for hospitals so that premature babies have access to hearing screening at the earliest possible age, and in the past has established Mobile Ear Clinics providing early diagnosis and treatment of childhood ear infections.
