Variety Future Kiwi Kids

Every Kiwi kid has the right to educational equity. Variety levels the playing field for disadvantaged children, helping overcome access issues and improving educational outcomes. Variety's Future Kiwi Kids programme helps set them up to reach their potential in life.

Laptops for Learning ensures that students from low-decile high schools can access digital services for e-learning, narrowing the digital divide, creating brighter futures and better life pathways.

Gold Heart Scholarships of up to $5,000 p.a. are awarded to 20 children annually who have already achieved a certain level of proficiency in the arts, sport or education, despite challenges they may be facing. They are also matched with a Variety mentor to assist them in reaching their goals.

Variety Voices is a group scholarship opportunity for talented young people to share the joy of rehearsing and performing together at events, whether disabled or able-bodied, facing challenges or not.

The Future Kiwi Kids Fund was established after the economic crisis of 2009, when Variety was inundated with funding requests by desperate families which we were unable to fulfil. Funds are invested and used to support Variety's programmes in the years to come, whatever the economic conditions.

Variety creates brighter futures for many deserving Kiwi kids by providing assistance for computer equipment and other educational and technology initiatives.
