Kiwi Kid Sponsorship

During 2012 we undertook research to identify issues facing today's Kiwi kids. We spoke to our supporters, schools, doctors, community organisations and various government ministries, all of whom voiced concerns about the growing divide between the 'have' and 'have nots'.

Following a successful trial programme we officially launched Kiwi Kid Sponsorship in 2013 and the response has been overwhelming.

The programme helps level the playing field for financially disadvantaged kids from our own community. Disadvantaged children are given a good start to life by covering basic unmet needs like essential bedding and clothing, prescriptions, doctor's bills and school stationery, helping them to reach their full potential.

Kiwi Kid Sponsorship enables each and every one of us to connect and create change in the lives of disadvantaged Kiwi kids.

For as little as $35 per month you will help to provide a child with the basics that their family/caregiver is unable to afford. This includes, but is not limited to:

Since our launch, we have connected over 1100 Kiwi kids with sponsors, and while this is a fantastic start, it is just the beginning. With around 260,000 Kiwi kids living in deprivation there is much work to be done.
