Each Christmas, Variety - The Children's Charity greets new Mums and Bubs with a special gift of a Variety teddy bear. On Wednesday 14th December, long time Variety friend Pat Courtney and her team of Variety volunteer's supporters visited the Maternity Wards at Waitakere Hospital, North Shore Hospital, Birthcare Parnell, Auckland Hospital and Middlemore Hospital.
Pat has rolled out this initiative for the past 11 years and she is looking forward to meeting the newest members of our communities again this year. Pat said, "I really enjoy visiting the new mothers and babies. Christmas can be such a busy time, and by dropping in to say 'Congratulations' and leave them with a small gift is our way of saying well done, and we are thinking of you".
