Adventure Treks

2011 saw us launch a new and exciting partnership with one of the world's leading adventure travel companies, World Expeditions.  We encourage people to embark on fun ways to help Kiwi kids and with the help of World Expeditions we can offer tailored travel experinces to interesting and exotic locations.

March 2011 Kiwi actress and Variety Ambassador Antonia Prebble set off on a cycle trek around Vietnam raising money for mobility equipment and bikes for children affected by the Christchurch earthquake.  Over 12 days the team cycled 387 km, pedalling through tranquil highlands, palm fringed beaches and country roads as well as taking in the highlights of Hanoi, Dalat and the bustling, cosmopolitan Ho Chi Minh City. During the trek, the cyclists visited schools and orphanages along the way, getting to know some of the local children.  Each cyclist raised money for Variety by getting sponsorship and donations, holding events and selling goodies. Together the team raised a phenomenal $28,830 for Bikes for Kids - almost three times more than the goal of $10,000!

In June 2012 saw popular Kiwi actress Robyn Malcolm leading a group of adventure travellers on the Great Wall Of China Challenge!

This August, we are seeking an eager group to cycle Vietnam while helping the Variety Bikes for Kids Programme. Find out more information, here.

Experience the trip of a lifetime and help create brighter futures for Kiwi kids.
