Last month, a beautiful-hearted community supporter raised over $6,800 for disadvantaged Kiwi kids on the promise of shaving her head.
Gita Valabl said goodbye to her lovely locks one Sunday with the family gathered. She told Variety that her family and friends were incredibly generous with their kind words and donations, and even her 97-year-old grandmother, who doesn’t like the new look and asked Gita to put her hat back on, gave her $50.
If you, a friend or family member have an idea for a fundraising challenge, do tell us about it. We’ll cheer you on and provide you with the support you need. Email Emma Burton at email@example.com
Thank you, Gita, for helping give disadvantaged Kiwi kids the childhood they deserve!
