Please join us for the fine dining event of the year, SKYCITY Variety of Chefs.
Take a stroll through the SKYCITY Variety of Chefs night market and experience the culinary expertise of two of Australasia’s great chefs: Nic Watt - our longstanding Variety of Chefs curator of MASU, TRUE, Madame Hanoi and most recently Huami fame; and Jarrod Di Blasi - Head Chef of Melbourne's acclaimed EZARD and current holder of the prestigious Australian title of Good Food Guide's Young Chef of the Year.
Beginning with canapés served in true market style, your journey will continue through a further three courses inspired by the flavours and aromas of exquisite Asian street fare, and culminate in an exclusive dessert collaboration between the two culinary doyens.
Date: Thursday 17 August
Time: 7pm start
Venue: SKYCITY Convention Centre, Auckland Room, 88 Federal Street, Auckland

Nic Watt is an accomplished New Zealand chef, who began his culinary adventure into Japan more than 15 years ago. From experience in Michelin-starred restaurants in London to Taupo’s very own Huka Lodge, Nic follows through on creativity from the plate to interior design. He returned to New Zealand from the internationally acclaimed Roka restaurant group to open MASU with SKYCITY on Federal Street.
Jarrod Di Blasi won the 2016 Good Food Guide's highly coveted Young Chef of the Year award, and has appeared as a guest chef on MasterChef Australia. His early career included time at some of Melbourne’s most well-known restaurants, before joining Tom Aikens at his eponymous Michelin-starred London restaurant in 2008. Later, as Senior Chef de Partie at Verge, Melbourne, Jarrod enjoyed blurring the boundaries between eastern and western influences. EZARD welcomed Jarrod as Sous Chef in 2012, under the direction of Executive Chef/Director Teage Ezard. Jarrod took over as Head Chef at the start of 2014.
